Organization of Turkish States diaspora institutions meet in Bursa hosted by YTB

The diasporas of the member states of the Organization of Turkish States (TDT), hosted by the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB), will meet in Bursa on March 28 as part of the TDT 2nd Diaspora Forum “Inter-Agency Experience Sharing Program and Nowruz Events Activities”.

According to the written statement made by YTB, YTB carries out its activities as an important stakeholder in the activities of the organization, which has a diaspora potential of 20 million, in the field of diaspora.

YTB ​​has implemented 105 projects in the fields of education, youth, transportation, health, economy, justice, academia and culture for the TDT countries Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.

YTB, which provided the distribution of 9 thousand copies by supporting the book titled “Candles of Our Civilization” published by the Azerbaijan Youth Aid Foundation, on the other hand, presented the problems, solution suggestions and cooperation mechanisms faced by the diaspora organizations of the two countries with the meeting held on June 10, 2021 in cooperation with the Azerbaijan State Committee for Diaspora. he discussed.

Shared values ​​passed on to younger generations

While the “Every Child is a Plane Tree Project” was implemented in cooperation with YTB and Azerbaijan Youth Aid Fund, it was aimed to introduce scientists who grew up in Turkish-Islamic civilization and to transfer the common cultural and scientific values ​​of the two brotherly countries to younger generations.

On the other hand, the book titled “Azerbaijani Intellectual History” was published in order to eliminate the lack of a permanent work in which the history of Azerbaijani thought was recorded.

In the online event “Understanding the 1915 Events and the 1992 Khojaly Genocide” organized in cooperation with the YTB and the Azerbaijan State Committee for Diaspora, a seminar on the 1915 events and the Khojaly Genocide was given to approximately 100 young people.

Dormitory for Azerbaijani students

With the project carried out with YTB and the Association for Friendship and Civil Aspects with Turkish Language States, the rent of dormitories for university students in Azerbaijan was paid during 2013-2014 and 2015.

With the project carried out with the Youth Aid Foundation, a book titled “Our Spiritual Values” was prepared to be taught in primary and secondary schools in Azerbaijan.

On the other hand, the 14th International Great Turkish Language Congress Program was held in Baku on September 26-27, 2019 with the cooperation of Turkey-Azerbaijan Friendship Cooperation and Solidarity Foundation, Yunus Emre Institute (YEE) and YTB.

Turkey’s experience of combating Kovid-19 was shared

On the other hand, within the scope of the project carried out with the Uzbekistan Strategy Development Center, YTB conveyed its experience in Turkey’s fight against the Kovid-19 epidemic to Azerbaijani, Kazakh, Kyrgyz and Uzbek doctors in a 2-day training.

In the program titled “My Place in Two Sister States (Turkey and Uzbekistan) and Their Future Relations”, YTB shared knowledge and experience among more than 40 Uzbek students studying in Turkey.

Studies for healthcare workers

With the “Turkish World Emergency Medicine Education” project carried out by YTB on 14 March Medical Students Association on 8-12 April 2019, emergency service organization for healthcare professionals, especially doctors and medical school students, approach to critical patients in the emergency room and disaster management. training was given.

On 13-14 February 2021, YTB organized the “1st Turkish World Medical Students Workshop” in cooperation with the University of Health Sciences and the 14 March Medical Students Association.

In December 2020, YTB organized the “Laparoscopic Surgery Course” online training program in cooperation with TIKA, Islamic Development Bank, Health Sciences University and 14 March Medical Association. More than a thousand participants from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan benefited from the program.

Activities for Meskhetian Turks

YTB ​​supported the preparation courses for the Kazakhstan University Entrance Examination in order to increase the success of Ahıska youth living in Kazakhstan in higher education institutions and to ensure equal opportunities in education.

“Turkey-Kazakhstan Civilization Bridges Project from Ahmet Yesevi to the Present” was launched on 20 July-20 August 2016 in cooperation with Fatih Sultan Mehmet Foundation University and Ahmet Yesevi University, in order to promote common historical and cultural values ​​between Kazakh and Turkish youth, academics, researchers and experts. passed.

On the other hand, YTB organized a project called “The Intangible Cultural Heritage of Uyghurs: The Case of Almaty” in order to identify, compile and promote the rich cultural heritage of the Uyghurs.

Within the scope of the 75th anniversary of the Meskhetian Exile, groups of young and old from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan visited Ahiska together with the support of YTB and a commemoration program was held in their homeland.

Diaspora cooperation agreements

A cooperation protocol in the field of diaspora was signed between YTB and Kazakhstan’s Otandastar Foundation on November 8, 2018 at the Turkic Council Diaspora Organizations Presidents Summit.

Meskhetian Turks living in different regions of Kyrgyzstan visited the Ahmet Yesevi Tomb in Kazakhstan on 26-28 April 2019 with the support of YTB.

Editors and reporters from Kyrgyzstan attended the 2-week media training organized in cooperation with Anadolu Agency and YTB.

With the Eurasia Youth School project organized by YTB, 35 young people participating in the project visited Turkey.

On the other hand, the Turkish World Young Academics Congress was held on 24-26 December 2021 with the support of YTB.

Turkey scholarships

With the Türkiye Scholarships, 18,656 international students from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan have been provided with the opportunity to study in Turkey, while 1429 students continue their education at various universities in Turkey.

It is expected that cognate diasporas facing similar problems such as racism and Islamophobia will evaluate comprehensive representation and common solutions at the 2nd Diaspora Forum to be held on March 28-30, and play an important role in establishing cooperation between Turkish diasporas.

In the event, where the Diaspora Inter-Institutional 2nd Experience Sharing Program will be held, the participants will participate in the opening events of Bursa, the Cultural Capital of the Turkish World.
